Where’s the page number?

I bet e-textbooks will not have page-numbers. In-fact, depending on the information hierarchy, I bet there will just be a persistent table of contents.

Max, Min

As a web developer I’ve become used to finding the max or min value with a library call, a ternary operator, or an if statement. In real analysis, I was taught that the max is simply (a-b+abs(a-b))/2. #mathftw

Facebook’s new look

With FB Timeline, there’s a dramatically new style-guide that’s being slowly rolled out. So far it’s touched the profile page and parts of photos and friends page. I can’t wait for it to reach the newsfeed. Also, the new design would look great with the ipad/iphone left-sidebar. I’m interested to see if they implement a version of the sidebar and finally go entirely full screen.
